Bronze Valve Bodies
Bronze Valve Bodies are the main pressure-containing housings of valves, providing the internal passages and mounting surfaces for components such as seats, stems, discs, balls and bonnets. Bronze is widely used for valve bodies because of its corrosion resistance, machinability and suitability for water, plumbing and many low-to-moderate pressure service applications. ASTM B62 specifically covers composition-bronze castings used for valve, flange and fitting components, including UNS C83600.
