Bronze Worm Wheels
Bronze Worm Wheels are toothed gears used with a worm shaft to transmit motion and torque in worm-gear drives. The worm wheel is commonly made from bronze and paired with a hardened steel worm because this dissimilar-material combination provides suitable sliding, wear and friction characteristics. Bronze worm wheels are widely used where high reduction ratios, compact drives and smooth, relatively quiet operation are required.
