Gate Valves
Gate Valves are linear-motion valves used primarily to start or stop the flow of liquids and other compatible fluids in piping systems. They operate by raising or lowering a gate inside the valve body. When fully open, the gate is lifted out of the flow path, providing relatively low flow resistance. Gate Valves are generally intended for fully open or fully closed service, rather than regular flow throttling.
